Will you consider supporting AAAC member, Myles Edwards and his charity, The Gathimba-Edwards Foundation?
They are looking for 25 volunteers to help at one of the races in the GEF Safari Race Series to be held at the Prime Four Business Park in Kingswells on Sunday the 22nd of May.
I will email out detailed info to the volunteers a week or so before the race once start lists/times of each race are confirmed but here is some that may be useful…
Attached is the course map (below). Each lap is a little shy of 1k and so the kids race (1k) has different finish line to the adults race (3k).
We are looking for 3 people to help with car parking duties from 8.45AM. The volunteer briefing will take place at the start point of the race next to the Equinor office (building number 5 on the map below). Parking is next to the TAQA office (building number 9). There will be a few different types of volunteer roles such as marshaling, entries, handing out medals, recording finisher numbers and looking after the GEF shop.
The races start times in 2021 were as below but please note that this is subject to change depending on number of entries.
Kids – 10am
3k C race – 10.15AM
3k B race – 10.45AM
3k A race – 11.05AM
Medals will be handed out to runners as they finish and trophy presentations will take place ASAP after the final race. We should be all done by 11.20AM.
If you can help, please email Myles at email@example.com.
